At the Batumi Sports Palace, which is hosting the European Weightlifting Championships, medals were contested in the women’s 69 kg category.

It was a successful day for neutral individual athlete Siuzanna Valodzka, who won three medals, including gold in the total with 237 kg.

Next champion earned a silver medal in the snatch (108) and a gold medal in the clean and jerk (129).

Another neutral individual athlete, Zarina Gusalova, also became a medalist in the total. She claimed bronze medals in both the snatch (105) and the clean and jerk (127), and with a combined total of 232 kg, she won silver.

The gold medal in the snatch (109) was won by Germany’s Lisa Schweitzer. The experienced German finished 9th in the clean and jerk (122), but still secured a bronze medal in the total (231).

Among the medalists is Spain’s Naroa Arrasate, who suffered a serious arm injury on her third attempt in the clean and jerk; however, the 128 kg she had already lifted was enough for her to retain the silver medal.
