Georgia to host 2026 European Weightlifting Championships in Batumi
In April 2026, Georgia will host one of Europe’s top sporting events, the European Weightlifting Championships (EWF). The championship will be held in Batumi from April 9 to 26.
The competition will feature projects from Europe’s leading powerhouses from more than 40 countries, once again making Georgia a hub for international sporting events.
The competition will be held at the Batumi Sports Palace, where fans will have the opportunity to see the best athletes in Europe up close.
The championship will also play a role in international qualification and will be a key tournament for athletes.
